Anthill Farms is a small, organic-focused winery led by Colby Reade and his team, dedicated to crafting expressive, site-reflective Pinot Noirs. They manage vineyards across the cooler Sonoma Coast AVA, using minimal intervention to let vineyard character speak through.
This bottling is a blend sourced from three organically farmed Sonoma Coast sites (on Wilson Grove and Goldridge sandy-loam soils). It’s 100% Pinot Noir, featuring Calera, Pommard, 115, and 777 clones. Harvested by hand, the wine is 25% whole-cluster fermented with native yeasts, receiving daily punch-downs over a three-week maceration. It’s aged 16 months in French oak (20% new), bottled with 25 ppm SO₂, and produced in a small run of just 1,200 cases.
Elegant and textured, with fresh red cherry, cranberry, forest floor, and baking spice aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins, zesty acidity, and layers of red fruit underscored by subtle mineral tension and a savory, persistent finish.
