Bodegas Mustiguillo is a family-owned winery in Valencia, founded 45 years ago and run by winemaker Toni Sarrión. The Mustiguillo estate is situated in a unique Mediterranean landscape, at an altitude of 800m it is sheltered by the Sierra del Negrete mountains but lies within close proximity to the sea.

100% Bobal, organically grown on two plots planted in 1945 and 1970, on dolomite limestone soil with chalky sand at 800m elevation. The plots were each vinified separately with indigenous yeasts and underwent malolactic in large oak vats, followed by 18 months aging in French oak barrels.

Deep, dark red with scarlet flashes. The nose shows crushed red fruits, scents of wild strawberry and pomegranate. Flavors of ripe black cherry, black plum and blueberry fruit, laced with notes of tobacco and cedar, with chewy, firm tannins. Bold yet balanced, and a long, fruited finish.
