Can Sumoi is the mountain-vineyard project of the Raventós i Blanc family, dedicated to reclaiming historic Catalan sites through organic farming and minimal-additive winemaking. At 400 meters of elevation, the estate’s limestone soils and cooler temperatures produce wines with lift and structure.
This Xarel·lo comes from organically farmed, high-altitude parcels planted on limestone and clay and vines as old as 85 years. Fermented with native yeasts in 20% concrete, the rest in stainless steel where it is aged very briefly. The wine is intentionally pure, unadorned, and mineral-driven.
Crisp and savory, it shows fennel, green apple, lemon pith, and chalky minerality, with a bone-dry, slightly herbal finish. Ideal with shellfish, white fish, or simple vegetable dishes.
