A respected organic estate in Anjou, Domaine Ogereau is helmed by Vincent and Emmanuel Ogereau, known for crafting expressive, terroir-driven wines from schist-rich soils in the Coteaux du Layon. ‘L’Enjouée’ means playful or joyful — a lively, easy-drinking red that reflects the domaine’s sense of character and community (and a nod to the brothers’ tuba-playing hobby).
Blend of 75% estate fruit, 25% from neighboring certified organic vineyards. Gamay, Grolleau, Pineau d’Aunis & Pinot Noir: 6-day semi-carbonic maceration, whole cluster. Cab Franc & Cab Sauv: de-stemmed. Native yeast ferment, full malo. Aged 5 months in underground, tile-lined tanks. Lightly filtered with diatomaceous earth.
Bright, juicy aromas of red cherry, raspberry, and wild herbs. The palate is fresh, silky, and vibrant with soft tannins and a playful, quenching finish.
