The Cogno Winery was formed in the footsteps of master winemaker Elvio and continues to produce wines that respect the history of the family today. They maintain, unaltered, traditions and styles that express the flavor and grape varieties of the Langhe.
100% Nebbiolo from the estate's youngest vines in Barolo, around 15 years old. A blend of three different clones, vinified with 10% whole-bunch fruit in stainless steel and matured in Slavonian casks for 24 months. Red garnet color.
Aromas of redcurrant, wild berry, fresh herbs and dried roses. Flavors of licorice, cola and camphor ash over a firm, mid-weight texture, with refreshing acidity and a clean mineral finish.
