Founded in 1994 by Leon Karatsalos and Yiannis Paraskevopoulos, GAI’A (pronounced Yay-ya) is one of the pioneers of Greece’s modern wine movement. With vineyards in Santorini and Nemea, the estate merges traditional viticulture with modern winemaking to highlight indigenous grapes like Assyrtiko and Agiorgitiko.
100% Agiorgitiko from high-altitude estate vineyards in Koutsi and Asprokampos regions of Nemea (2,625 ft). Gravel-loam soils, sustainably farmed. Brief cold skin maceration of 4–6 hours before fermentation in stainless steel. Vegan-friendly, aged only in steel.
Light rosé with aromas of cherry, gooseberry, and wild berries. Light to medium-body, with bright acidity and a refreshing, savory finish. Excellent with Mediterranean appetizers, salty bites, or spicy Asian cuisine.
