The award-winning signature wine from the highly acclaimed Gusbourne Estate, based in Kent with additional vineyards in West Sussex. Established in 2004, it combines a heritage dating back to 1410 with modern winemaking expertise. Under winemaker Charlie Holland, Gusbourne emphasizes minimal intervention and extended aging to craft wines of elegance, complexity, and a true sense of place.
100% Chardonnay, hand-harvested, whole bunch pressed, and naturally settled for 12-24 hours. Fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks with a small percentage fermented in old oak barrels for complexity. Aged with lees for a minimum of 39 months.
Golden and vibrant, with fine, persistent bubbles. Aromas of citrus—lemon, pink grapefruit, and orange zest—are joined by green apple and white flowers. The palate offers honeyed citrus, ripe stone fruits, pear, and subtle spice notes of ginger and cardamom, complemented by pastry and toasted hazelnuts.
