Founded by winemaker Nick Gislason (Screaming Eagle Vineyards) and Jennifer Angelosante, Hanabi Lager brings a winemaker’s precision and agricultural focus to traditional lager brewing. Their approach highlights grain varietals the way winemakers emphasize vineyard and vintage—clean, expressive, and rooted in place.

Brewed year-round with 100% Haná barley, an heirloom grain used in the world’s first Pilsner in 1842. Revived from near extinction in 2015, it's sourced from a single field in Norfolk, England. Cold-fermented and unfiltered, brewed using traditional Czech-German techniques.

Bright and grain-driven, with aromas of fresh wholegrain bread, dried spearmint, and a hint of seaweed. Dry and polished on the palate with fine bitterness, soft malt texture, and a long herbal finish. Elegant, energetic, and quietly complex.
