A collaboration between winemaking friends Javi Revert and Victor Marqués, La Comarcal was founded in 2017 in the mountainous village of Venta del Moro. The project focuses on certified organic, small-lot wines from native varieties grown in old mountain vineyards.
Blend: 80% Garnacha, 20% Syrah. Certified organic. Vines 15–50 years old, including a 4ha block of Garnacha (planted 1987) from Paraje Guindal at 600m elevation. Each variety hand-harvested and fermented separately with native yeasts. 30% whole cluster. Garnacha aged 8 months in stainless steel, Syrah in concrete. Lightly filtered, unfined.
Bright, juicy red fruit, wild herbs, and Mediterranean spice. Medium-bodied, fresh, and fruit-driven with soft tannins and an easy, food-loving finish.
