Marcel Deiss Estate is a renowned winery, famous for producing distinctive wines that express the unique terroir of the region through minimal intervention.
Blend of Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Sylvaner, Muscat. Organically and biodynamically grown on south-facing vineyards planted from 1977 to 1997 over bedrock of limestone and marl with fossils, iron-rich clay soil with rocks. Pressed with whole clusters, ambient yeast fermentation, aged 12 months on the lees.
A deep golden hue with complex aromas of ripe fruits (pear, apple, quince), honeysuckle, acacia, and subtle spices (ginger, clove). Full-bodied with a creamy texture, vibrant acidity, and flavors of stone fruits, citrus zest, and a hint of toasted nuts. The finish is long and satisfying with a touch of honeyed sweetness.
