Sandlands is the personal project of Tegan Passalacqua, winemaker at Turley, where he’s worked for 20 years. From one of California’s most historic vineyard sites, this Cinsault comes from the Bechtold Vineyard in Lodi, planted in 1886. These own-rooted, dry-farmed vines are certified organic and among the oldest Cinsault plantings in the country.

100% Cinsault. Hand-harvested and fermented with native yeasts, then aged for 11 months in neutral French oak. Minimal sulfur added. 

Delicate aromatics of red plum, wild strawberry, and dried rose petals. The palate is light-bodied and silky, with bright acidity and soft, integrated tannins, finishing with notes of crushed herbs and savory spice.
