Sarolta Bárdos began her career studying at the University of Horticulture in Budapest. She took advantage of the recently fallen Iron Curtain and spent time studying in France, Italy and Spain before working at several wineries upon her return to Hungary. Preferring closer attention to detail and the total knowledge inherent in small-scale winemaking, she planted her own vineyards in 1999.
100% Furmint. Hand harvested and fully destemmed, fermented only with free-run juice spontaneously with native yeasts in stainless steel with secondary fermentation. Aged on the less for a minimum of 8 months until bottling.
Aromas of pear, mint, honey and subtle notes of vanilla from the barrel aging. On the palate, it is rich, complex, with a very long finish.
